My father-in-law, Bill Hall (pictured left with my wife, Katie), is one of the biggest classic car fans there is. Friday Evening we headed to Glenstone Avenue where the approximate 2,000 Hot Rods in Springfield, MO would be cruising the street before the car show, hosted at the fair grounds the next day.
What an awesome experience to see Bill witnessing and sharing his faith even during an excellent opportunity to enjoy a hobby he is very interested in. What an excellent reminder that we do not always need to go out of our way, but God allows us to fulfill the Great Commission for our life while doing things we enjoy. Bill had the excellent opportunity to share Christ with several people. He spoke with a group of 3 people for approximately 15 minutes about the Law and Gospel. He also had the opportunity to share the Good News with another gentleman that was willing to listen.
As we started the evening, I prayed God would prepare hearts to receive the Gospel Tracts we would be handing out. I prayed God would allow us to pass out a few tracts to those observing the Hot Rods. What an awesome time!! God used us to pass out hundreds of Gospel Tracts that night, many more than I myself expected, but God orchestrates all. Please continue to pray that eyes would be opened and people would Repent and Trust the Saviour, Jesus Christ.
God be Glorified,
Tim

It has been quite some time since I have had the great opportunity of sharing the Good News of the Law and Gospel with those who have not heard. I was joined by Bill Hall, my father-in-law, for about 1-1/2 hours of passing out tracts and sharing our faith. Even without any special events, the downtown area had plenty of “wretched sinners” (like me) that have never heard the complete Gospel. I had the opportunity to witness to 4 different people; please keep these people in your prayers: David, Josh, Danielle and Jared. The most interesting conversation was with Danielle and Jared.
Danielle claimed to believe in “Evolution, I think.” This young teenager, seemed to not spend much time pondering things of eternity. As I brought up the things of God, she immediately said she did not believe in Heaven or Hell. She believed that evolution made sense because it has been proven (she could not cite any proof). I explained to her what John MacArthur so eloquently said, “Nothing times nobody equals everything.” How ridiculous!! I was able to share the Law and Gospel with Danielle and her friend Jared. Please pray that God will use the seed planted.
To God be the Glory!!

As I continue my study through Galatians, I stumble upon two covenants that Paul discusses at the end of chapter 4. He is continuing to straigten out the theology held by those Jewish Christians, that the Gentile converts are under the law. Paul uses the story of Hagar vs. Sarah to explain the two covenants, somewhat as an illustration, not to prove the two covenants. The first covenant is of bondage unto sin and death – the law which only condemned people to hell. The second covenant is of liberty and freedom. Many Christians today abuse this principal of freedom in Christ. Believers sometimes use this principle to excuse sin. The predominant problem with these believers is that they continually approach the line of sin and excuse it since they have not “fallen” into the sin. It is not my jurisdiction to determine if they are in sin, but what an easy solution by making sure we are Glorifying God in all that we do. Staying away from such a line of sin certainly would ensure minimal sin in our lives.
May God be Glorified!!!

As I look at Galatians 4:8-20, something quite simple stands out to me. Verse 9 starts with Paul writing “But after you have known God,” and then he changes the perspective to make it more accurate by saying “or rather are known by God.” What a difference! We as wretched sinners can claim to “know” God, but it matters only if God knows us. I am reminded of Matthew 7:21-23,
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!”
Only by the grace of God is anyone saved from eternal punishment in Hell. Only by the correct response of Repentance and Faith will anyone be saved from eternal punishment to eternal life in heaven forever.
To GOD be the Glory!!!!
